Novartis Biotech Huningue

"ERAS has been working with Novartis on the Huningue Biotechnology Center site (close to Mulhouse, at the French-Swiss frontier) for more than 10 years. We make Xolair, an innovative medicine for the treatment of severe asthma (monoclonal antibody), on this site.

Perfect integration of their teams (from 8 to 12 persons depending on the period) is a key element in success of the services provided. Their knowledge of the site, constraints specific to pharmaceutics and biotechnologies, and our standards is a major advantage; production of antibodies for therapeutic use is strictly controlled (controlled atmosphere zones, production in sterile and closed environment, deactivation of the water used).

They work in the automation field, on Numerical Systems for Instrumentation Control and for Calibration or Metrology. I would like to add that the flexibility and professionalism that have formed part of the values that they claim, are more than just words.

We are currently developing our installations to make them ready to handle other Novartis product(s) derived from biotechnology, when needs arise. We are relying very much on this partner to complete this project; our cooperation has a long future ahead of it."
